We are "authorized surveyors" for surveys under the MI Large Yacht Code. We can perform surveys on commercial yachts under 500GT and all private yachts.
Regs4yachts can perform specified statutory survey, administration safety inspection and certification functions on Marshall Islands-flagged Yachts, as they relate to the initial and subsequent surveys and periodic re-inspections or examinations of Yachts as defined by the Safety Code of Practice for Large Yachts (MI-103A) and the Safety Code of Practice for Small Yachts (MI-103B), in the review and approval of plans, and associated activities.
We can also perform the ISM and ISPS Code verification and certification Services for Yachts, (excluding, however, such Yachts while they are bareboat registered under the flag of another State), the owner of a Yacht or fleet of Yachts, and any other organization or person (such as a ship manager or bareboat charterer who has assumed, in writing, the responsibility for operation of the Yacht(s) from the owner and who, on assuming such responsibility, has agreed to take over the duties and responsibility imposed by the ISM and ISPS Codes (hereinafter the "Company")).
We are "Nautical Inspector" when conducting "Administration Safety Inspections" required by the MI Large Yacht Code.
We can do "Administration Safety Inspections" on all yachts regardless of size or type.
The MI Large Yacht Code requires that Administration Safety Inspections are performed:
On Commercial Yachts over 400GT annually to be conducted by a Nautical Inspector.
On Commercial Yachts under 400GT annually by an authorized surveyor [sic] OR by an approved self-assessment scheme.
Any commercial yacht on self-assessment and all private yachts have to be "visited" by a Nautical Inspector at least every 5 years.
Our unique appointment as both Marshall Islands and RINA large yacht surveyors means that, for an MI flag and RINA-classed yacht, we can take the lead role and considerably reduce the normal duplicated involvement of different flag and class.
We can act as the focal point, make the necessary decisions, co-ordinate surveys and certification and provide a smoother and more cost-effective solution to meet the owner's requirements.
